Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

RPL
recognizes what you have already learned.  Your knowledge may come from other work experience or training courses related to other work experience, from other courses which have been completed or from life experiences.

If what you have done is considered relevant to the course you may apply for RPL.  If your application is successful you would be exempt from the particular module your RPL deals with.

RPL must be applied for prior to the commencement of the course.  A fee to cover administration is charged.  To apply for RPL you must advise the School of Beauty co-ordinator of your intention.  The co-ordinator will then provide you with the necessary forms which must be completed and submitted with all relevant documentation to the School of Beauty.

FLEXIBLE LEARNING STATEMENT

PURPOSE

The Joan Lawman School of Beauty has flexible learning and assessment procedures to meet the needs of trainees who find it difficult to attend full time courses. We offer :

1. Part time/trainees

• Classes are held once a week for the learner who has difficulty in full time attendance.

• Entry and exits points are granted for a unit by unit study base.

• Bridging courses are available and entry and exit points are worked on so times can be met to finalise a Certificate IV or Diploma outcome.

2. Assessments

• Assessments can be pre arranged with the director of studies to have assessment times and tests out of scheduling with main class.

Entry and exit points can be met within this outcome.

Offical Course Enrolment Forms are available from the school, or by using the contact link.

A time will be set for an interview which will be conducted by an assessor of RPL.  You will be advised of the outcome.

The administration fee for this procedure commences at $750.00 for RPL of one module.  Should RPL be applied for more than one module then the amount of the fee will be advised during the first interview.
