INTRODUCTION
The Joan Lawman School of Beauty delivers courses in Beauty Therapy in compliance with, and according to the standards set by the Vocation, Education and Training Accreditation Board National Training Package.
Full time and Part Time courses are available, in both the Certificate IV in Beauty Therapy and the Diploma of Beauty Therapy. Full time day classes are conducted four days per week. Monday to Thursday 9.30 am to 4.30 pm.
The courses are divided into terms of approximately ten weeks, with two weeks holiday in between each term. Certificate IV in Beauty Therapy covers three terms. Diploma of Beauty Therapy covers four terms.
Both full time and part time courses qualify the student to seek employment in a commercial beauty salon, or in another aspect of the Beauty Industry. Recognition of prior learning (RPL) is acknowledged by the school. Students intending to seek RPL must lodge their application for this with Principal of the School prior to commencement of the course.
In all courses the fee, which can be paid by instalments over the duration of the course, also covers the cost of photocopying, notes, and cost of all products used in the course (see link for general outline of fees).
